Hope Ring
The Indian Cancer Society commissioned Tanishq to design a memento for the cause of fighting cancer. Spearheading this project for Tanishq along with Ogilvy & Mather, I created a range of rings as wearable symbols of hope.
How might a band give hope?
Together we wanted to look at a way of making people's participation more tangible, and aspirational in their or someone else's fight against cancer.
The powerful ‘I CAN’ slogan of the Indian CANcer society was used as an honest representation of the hope of millions of cancer patients. I used the letters to create a minimalist, symbolic design that connected the cause, patients, and the brand’s ethos. The Ring of Hope was designed to inspire people, to begin contributing for Cancer awareness, detection, treatment fund and rehabilitation in India. My idea was to symbolize support, love and hope, on wearing it. A physical reminder of how citizens can participate in our communities - locally, regionally, nationally. Its visibility, tactility, and physicality encourages pride in becoming a fighter & supporter, to serve & volunteer in the journey.

Along with the Hope ring (made for auctioning at the ceremonial launch of the campaign), a range of rings was rolled out catering to varied price brackets for men and women to be retailed by Tanishq all across India.
All the profits from their sale were used for the treatment and rehabilitation of cancer patients.
